One of the most prominent aspects of Los Angeles is the abundance of abandoned objects and spaces that can be found throughout the city. Abandoned buildings, vehicles, furniture, and other detritus serve as a haunting reminder of the lives that have been lived and left behind. These “eighty-sixed” spaces and objects also offer a unique opportunity for creative expression and exploration. Through these photos I am using these spaces as a canvas for my work, capturing the beauty and decay of the city in a way that is both nostalgic and apocalyptic. I am attempting to shed light on the forgotten lives and places of Los Angeles, offering a glimpse into the city’s hidden past and a reminder of the struggles that continue to shape its present.
