Chromatic Shift
There is a kaleidoscope world in my mind that splits, blurs and blends into new compositions of light and dark. I use a camera to explore these “chromatic shifts” in our perceptions and seek to explore what lies beyond normal sight and mind. In our western thinking there is a logic and one point perspective has affected how we understand the picture space. Through this work I wish to transcend this rigid point of view and interpret seeing through an Asian lens. Taken in Seoul, Korea there are hints of place, which inspired the way I looked at composition. More than just a shift in color, I attempt to change how I see the universe.
